For those students who want their online diploma or degree to be accepted not just in their own state but anywhere in the country, make sure to look for a school that is accredited buy one if not more of the regional accreditation agencies that the CHEA and USDE recognize. These two organizations are the same ones that do the accreditation for schools in the real world.
